Cautious Optimism

After a long afternoon in the Methodist Hospital ER (I work at Park Nicollet, so thus is home territory), I was able to get some good news. A friendly ER doc who I have worked on a few projects went above and beyond and found an Ortho doc in the hospital for a look at my X-rays. She said it looks bad, but does NOT look surgical!

Great news indeed. More above and beyondness came in when the same ER doc "pulled some strings" to get me into a proper appointment tomorrow. That should get me fitted with a legit boot.

Thank you for all of the prayers and encouragement. Still have one more appointment for the all-clear, but I'm feeling a much more confident that Thursday is still a go.

To make me feel like I've achieved something noteworthy, the ER doc said I broke a really hard bone to break, he's never seen anything like it. Yay me.
